After Mason Hurtte interned in mechanical engineering in Barcelona and his gal pal of four years, Heather Henry, studied Spanish in Madrid, Mason’s parents, Bob Hurtte and Frances Rubin, met them in Spain. They awed at the Salvador Dali museum, where a wall mural of Lincoln is also seen as a nude lady and a couch becomes Marilyn Monroe’s lips. Then they were off to Paris, where Mason and Heather had a lock engraved with their names and the date to put among the other millions of locks on a bridge over the Seine River to ensure everlasting love. Mason is 20, and Heather is 19. Upon Mason’s return to the U.S. (and The University of Texas), he gave a stem-cell donation. Someone is very lucky.
