West U 2015 General Election: Important Dates to Know

If you are interested in running for office or know someone who may be interested, the West University Place 2015 General Election will be held on May 9, 2015 for the purpose of electing a mayor and four city council members.
Below is a list of important dates, including the first and last day to file an application for a place on the ballot. To obtain a candidate packet, or for more election information, visit the City’s website or contact City Secretary Thelma Lenz at 713-662-5813 or at [email protected].
Important Dates:
- First Day to file for Place on Ballot: Jan. 28, 2015
- Last Day to file for place on Ballot: Feb. 27, 2015
- First Day to Accept Application for Ballot by Mail: March 10, 2015
- Last Day to Register to Vote: April 09, 2015
- First Day of Early Voting by personal appearance: April 27, 2015
- Last Day to Apply for Ballot by Mail (received not postmarked): April 24, 2015 (delivery in person) or April 30, 2015 (by noon)
- Last Day of Early Voting by personal appearance: May 05, 2015
- Election Day: May 09, 2015
