Tanglewood residents and close friends Lynn Young and Pamela Wright (at right) met at a Children of the American Revolution meeting over 28 years ago. Today, they both serve in leadership positions in the Daughters of the American Revolution, a service organization dedicated to historic preservation, education and patriotism. Lynn is the first president general from Texas, and Pamela is the state regent of Texas, in which 16,669 members will celebrate George Washington’s birthday in February. The DAR will mark 125 years of service to our nation in 2015. For membership information, see txdar.org.
