Excitement is building for Covenant House Texas volunteers, including chairs Cheryl Boblitt, Angeles James and Jo Ann Petersen (pictured, from left), who are organizing the 2015 Covenant House Texas Gala March 27 at the Hilton Americas. The theme is Circus Carnivale. Proceeds will help the youth of Covenant House Texas, which provides services to homeless and runaway youth. Honorees this year are the trustees of the Iris and Lloyd Webre Foundation, Camille Tichenor, Lloyd P. Webre Jr., Mary Iris Webre, Roberta Rude, Iris Allen and Bob Duboise. The Spirit Award will be presented in memory of Eleanor “Puddie” Pitcock, a well-known Houston philanthropist and good friend to the youth at Covenant House Texas.
