Students from the Bellaire High School marching band led the way down South Rice during Bellaire’s annual Fourth of July parade. There was a children’s bike parade, led by the color guard of Boy Scout Troop #211 from St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. The Bellaire Police Department color guard led the regular parade as a Bellaire Fire Department Engine made its way through the streets with Channel 13’s Tom Koch, Mayor Phil Nauert and City Council members sitting on top, waving at residents. After the parade finished, a festival at Bellaire Town Square and Loftin Park kicked off. Party-goers rocked out to live entertainment and got dizzy on a mini Ferris wheel. The Independence Day fun continued with a petting zoo, moon jump, dunk tank and festive food. Buzz intern Eric Uzick was on the scene taking photos. Search “July 4” to see if you were spotted.
