“Put ’Em Up,” University of Texas junior Jonathan Dror encourages in his recently-released music video. Clad in burnt orange and white, this Bellaire High School grad's catchy, cool song is contagious, inspiring school spirit in students, parents, alum, friends and fans.

In fall 2014, this economics major who’s also passionate about music, submitted a 10-second video of him singing this tune to the UT Campus Story on the app Snapchat. His submission made the cut and, in just 24 hours, received more than 20,000 views. The brief video stirred a ton of buzz on the UT campus and that’s when he knew it was worth pursuing this further.

Bellaire High School graduate Jonathan Dror recently produced a song and video highlighting student life, football and school spirit at University of Texas.

Jonathan, who also shows his school spirit with his role on student government, expanded his 10-second tune into a full song, highlighting UT student life, football and school spirit. The song and video production took months of time and energy and the final product was released Sept. 1. The video currently has more than 65,000 views and Jonathan is very proud of how it turned out.

Some UT students who appear in the video include current and past members of the student government, members of the football team, and some friends from the Houston area. Students include former UT student government president Kori Rady and vice president Taylor Strickland, current president Xavier Rotnofsky and vice president Rohit Mandalapu, friends from the football team: QB Tyrone Swoopes, QB Jerrod Heard, LB Malik Jefferson, WR Lorenzo Joe, WR Dorian Leonard, WR Roderick Bernard and many friends who grew up in Houston.

Since the release of the video, Jonathan says he’s received countless videos of students playing the song around campus at parties and at football tailgates. It’s been especially fun that his fraternity, Zeta Beta Tau, has been playing it at tailgates. Jonathan aspires to produce more songs and show off his talents more.

Be sure to check out this video if you love all things burnt orange and white.
