The kids went all out decorating their rides for the big celebration, even decking out their pink Cadillac ride for the special occasion.

The City of Bellaire’s Fourth of July Parade was a great start to the Independence Day celebration. The parade began promptly, with lots of families and pets attending and marching in the parade. Families lined the streets with chairs and blankets, eager for the start of the annual parade.

The Children’s Parade started off the event, leading the Big Parade. Everyone cheered for all of the floats and participants, which included scout troops, local school bands and many more well-decorated floats. All enjoyed the freebies offered by the different floats, including candy, Frisbees and t-shirts.

Edward Dannenbaum

Several of the Bellaire officers received awards from the Bellaire Optimist Club, including firefighter of the year, Edward Dannenbaum.

The parade wrapped up about 45 minutes later, giving way to the festival. Everyone migrated to the pavilion for free entertainment, family-friendly games and rides, plus refreshing food and drink. There was a fun crowd, with people participating in activities such as the dunk booth to the rock wall.

The event was a huge success, bringing everyone together to celebrate America’s birthday with lots of spirit and pride. Happy Fourth of July!
