Club champ

Eighth grader Spencer Locascio (pictured) displays his swimming medals at the Houston Racquet Club’s (HRC) swim team banquet. He competed at the Houston Country Club League Invitational meet and placed first in 13/14 boys 50-yard freestyle and 50-yard backstroke, and third in 50-yard butterfly. Spencer holds the record for HRC in those three strokes, and has also set records for the Invitational meet and Second Baptist School’s swim team. This was his eighth season on the HRC summer swim team. Although freestyle is his favorite stroke, Spencer also competes in individual backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly, and in the medley and freestyle relays. He also swims for the Houston Country Club League USA team and the Second Baptist School team.
