Looking for something to do in San Antonio over the next few months?

Ford Canoe Challenge – This canoe race has been a River Walk tradition since 1969. Enter or just watch. 7-11 a.m. Aug. 6, River Walk.

Foam Glow 5k – Run in a nighttime race that has glowing foam and black lights all over the course. 8:15 p.m. Sept. 9, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, 17000 IH-10 West, admission: $50.

Bud Light, The Taste – Stroll along the River Walk while you sample appetizer-sized culinary offerings from over 30 restaurants at Bud Light, The Taste. 6-9 p.m. Sept. 13-15, River Walk, San Antonio.

Sweeney Todd – Enjoy this London urban musical that tells the gory tale of Sweeney Todd. Fridays-Sundays Oct. 7– Nov. 6, Woodlawn Theatre, 1920 Fredericksburg Rd., admission: $17-26.

Wine Down at the Garden – Sample food and South American wine. 6:30-9:30 p.m. Oct. 10, San Antonio Botanical Garden, 555 Funston Pl., admission: $75.

San Antonio Beer Festival – The 11th Annual San Antonio Beer Festival is the largest beer festival in San Antonio, with 350 beers from 85-plus breweries. 1:30-6:30 p.m. Oct. 15, Maverick Park, 1000 Broadway, admission: $30-70.

Festival de Puerto Rico in San Antonio – Explore Puerto Rican culture at the Puerto Rican Heritage Society’s 15th Festival de Puerto Rico in San Antonio with music, food, art, dancing and games. Noon-6 p.m., Oct. 23, San Antonio Shrine Auditorium, 901 North Loop 1604 West.

Halloween Fest – Costume contest, music and river parade at Bud Light Halloween Fest. 7-10:30 p.m. Oct. 28, River Walk, admission: free.

Día de los Muertos – Celebrate the Day of the Dead with face painting, a procession and pan de muerto. The Guadalupe Dance Company and Academy, Grupo Animo and Mariachi Guadalupe will perform.  5 p.m. Oct. 29-30, Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, 723 S. Brazos St. admission: free.
