Blink 182

Haley Kurisky recently rocked out to Blink 182 in concert.

Theoretically, September weather is cooler for most people, but as Houstonians, we laugh and continue to soak it up in the pool. Enjoy the hot days with a concert around Houston - outside, if you’re brave, or inside, if you want to escape the heat.

Sept. 1: Beetle (Beatles tribute band), Continental Club
Check out this free (FREE!) concert at the Continental Club. Sing your favorite Beatles hits!

Sept. 3: Drake and Future, Toyota Center
Who loves Houston more than Drake? (Trick question, the answer is me). This is sure to be THE concert of September, so don’t miss!

Sept. 3: Krewella, House of Blues
Watch Krewella at House of Blues at 8, then swing over to Stereo Live to catch the same act at 9.

Sept. 4: House of Blues Gospel Brunch, House of Blues
A favorite that occurs every month: brunch and blues at this cool Houston hotspot!

Sept. 4: Dillon Francis, Stereo Live

Sept. 4: A Night With Janis Joplin, Alley Theatre
An afternoon show, this performance is sure to impress all ages.

Sept. 8: Pat Waters & the Chainlink Band
This show is held at a really cool saloon-style building, owned by real firemen from West U!

Sept. 8: Write About Now Open Mic Poetry Slam, AvantGarden

Sept. 9: Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato, Toyota Center
Bring out your inner Disney Channel kid and go see this dynamic duo!

Sept. 11: Cyndi Lauper, Revention Music Center
Girls just wanna have fun, okay? Grab a few of your girl friends and go see Cyndi!

Sept. 13: Death Cab for Cutie, Revention Music Center
#TBT, this 2000s band is sure to put on a fun show!

Sept. 15: Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour: French Montana and Puff Daddy, Toyota Center

Sept. 16: Squirrel Nut Zippers, Miller Outdoor Theatre
I suggest this only because I am dying to see a band called “Squirrel Nut Zippers.” I hope you’re as intrigued as I am.

Sept. 16: Tegan and Sara, Warehouse Live
For your kids and kids-at-heart, this is a great concert for younger people.

Sept. 17: Switchfoot and Relient K, House of Blues

Sept. 18: 5 Seconds of Summer, Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
If you are (or are the mother/father of) a young girl (or even a college girl, cough cough), then chances are, you are already aware that this concert is coming. This Aussie boy band is sure to sell out the pavilion.

Sept. 20: Kanye West, Toyota Center
For all you non-Taylor Swift fans (haha), go see Kanye West at Toyota Center.

Sept. 21: Boyce Avenue, House of Blues
Boyce Avenue does acoustic covers of all your favorite songs. Beautiful voice, sure to be a really good show.

Sept. 25: National Zydeco Foundation Jam, The Big Easy Social and Pleasure Club
I can’t think of a more entertaining evening than going and listening to some zydeco music. If you haven’t heard it yourself, I highly recommend it.

Sept. 29: Josh Turner, Arena Theatre
Country lovers, have no fear! I’ve included an act for you, too.

Sept. 29: Charlie Puth, House of Blues
You know, the guy who sings the hook of “See You Again.”
