A Southern wedding

The couple chose a classic Southern style for their fall wedding. Hadley Walker wed John William Black III in a custom Carolina Herrera gown at The Forest Club. Guests were greeted with trays of champagne garnished with blackberries. Some made their way to the Johnny Walker Black whiskey-tasting area. The groom wore a white dinner jacket with a blue and white-checkered bow tie and cummerbund set from High Cotton. The bride works in the book-publishing industry, so she chose her favorite books to be used as décor throughout the club. In lieu of a traditional guestbook, the bride displayed coffee-table books for guests to sign. One of the books chosen was about Central Park, where the couple met. At the end of the reception, Statue of Liberty hats were passed around as the band played New York, New York and Empire State of Mind. They honeymooned in Italy.
