It’s here: Super Bowl LI hits Houston on Sun., Feb. 5, and festivities are beginning now. We’ve rounded up a list of Super Bowl events taking place around town. Whether you plan to watch The Big Game on TV with friends and family or if you’re one of the lucky ones watching in person, we hope you take advantage of some of the exciting events happening around Houston leading up to Super Bowl.  

Super Bowl Countdown

Memorial City Countdown to Kickoff @ The Square - Jan. 27-Feb. 5 

Enjoy Super Bowl festivities at The Square at Memorial City, including Draft Night on Feb. 2 for live music, yard games, bar bites and beer; Friday Night Lights for fun live performances on Feb. 3, Superstar Saturday for Little Rookies Training Camp and End Zone Celebration Dance Off; and the Ultimate Big Game Watch Party on Feb. 5 starting at 3 p.m. 

Midtown's Big Bowl Texas Sized Fest @ Midtown - Jan. 27-Feb. 6:

Head to Midtown for a week-long festival with live bands and DJs to celebrate Super Bowl LI. 

Super Bowl Live @ Discovery Green - Jan 28-Feb 5:  

Super Bowl LIVE is a free, nine-day fan festival at Discovery Green including live music and performances, interactive exhibits, great food and a 90-foot tall virtual reality trip to Mars.

NFL Experience @ George R. Brown Convention Center - Jan. 28-29; Feb. 1-5: 

Celebrate Super Bowl LI – and the history of The Big Game – with the NFL Experience, which is open to the public Jan. 28-29 and Feb. 1-5. Fans can participate in a range of football-themed experiences.

Opening Night @ Minute Maid Park – Jan. 30: 

Opening Night at Minute Maid Park will provide entertainment and opportunities for fans to get a look at the Super Bowl LI teams.

Super Bowl Celebrations @ Anheuser-Busch Tour Center - Jan. 31-Feb. 5

Anheuser-Busch Houston Brewery will host a range of fun activities this week. Meet the iconic Budweiser Clydesdales, enjoy tours, a comedy show and more. 

Luminaries of the Game Gala @ Marriott Marquis – Feb. 1:  

The Luminaries of the Game Gala will highlight great moments in football history and will honor Houston luminaries Janice and Robert McNair. Houston socialite Lynn Wyatt and former Secretary of State James Baker are the honorary chairs.

Social 51 @ B&B Butchers – Feb. 1-4: 

Social 51, an exclusive, pop-up lounge will take place at B&B Butchers & Restaurant, which includes an upscale, tented party, dining, tunes by DJ Senega and DJ Hoyet and more.  

Legends for Charity @ Marriott Marquis – Feb. 2: 

Join NFL and broadcast celebrities as Rich Eisen of the NFL Network and the AT&T Rich Eisen Show becomes the 12th recipient of the coveted Pat Summerall Award. Proceeds benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. 

Bulls & Blackjack Celebrity Poker Night – Feb. 2: 

Look forward to a night of Vegas-style entertainment, cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres, celebrity guests and more. Proceeds will benefit the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, WithMerci Foundation and The Wade Smith Foundation.

Beer Science and Body Art @ The Health Museum - Feb. 2

Beer lovers should head to The Health Museum for this free educational beer science event to celebrate the Big Game with local and out-of-town fans. 

SUPERBASH – Feb. 2-5: 

SUPERBASH will include 20 live performances over 4 days with 10 live DJs, NFL greats and celebrity hosts.   

Casino Royale Blue: A Night with the Houston Oilers – Feb. 2: 

Celebrate Super Bowl LI with some of Houston’s football history - “Luv Ya Blue”, a Houston Oiler reunion. Proceeds benefit the Alzheimer's Association Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter.

Ditka and Jays Cigars with the Stars – Feb. 2: 

Look forward to premium cigars, single-malt scotch, football celebrities including a Red Carpet Entrance, Open Premium Bar, heavy appetizers, live performances and more.  

Houston Power Party @ HMNS – Feb. 2:                                                 

Experience multiple interactive areas throughout the Museum of Natural Science, access to one-of-a-kind exhibits, celebrity appearances, performances and more.

Super Week @ Club Nomadic – Feb. 2-4

Kick off Super Bowl LI at Club Nomadic, a traveling entertainment experience. Enjoy The Chainsmokers and Sam Hunt on Feb. 2, Bruno Mars on Feb. 3 and culminating with DIRECTV NOW Super Saturday Night

The Ticket, The Show Like No Other @ The Corinthian - Feb. 3

Mingle with A-list celebrities and athletes at this party hosted by Ty Ryan Sports Group on Friday evening at The Corinthian. DJ D-Nice will be spinning and Busta Rhymes is set to give a live performance. 

The Big Game Bash @ CityCentre – Feb. 3-5: 

Head to CityCentre to celebrate Super Bowl LI with concerts, beer samplings, appearances from former NFL players and cook-off competitions! 

Turner Ignite Sports Luxury Lounge @ Bar Bleu - Feb. 3-4: 

Mix and mingle at this VIP cocktail party Friday night and a daytime gifting lounge Saturday afternoon. 

Antonio Brown Celebrity Super Slam @ Joe. K Butler Sports Complex – Feb. 3: 

The DraftKings Antonio Brown Super Slam Celebrity Charity Basketball Game will be a fun-filled game of hoops featuring past and present NFL greats, Hollywood celebrities, music stars and many more. Proceeds will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston.

Super Bowl Gospel Celebration @ Lakewood Church – Feb. 3: 

Head to Lakewood Church to join key NFL players and top artists for uplifting music and inspirational messages.

Leather @ Laces @ Hughes Manor – Feb. 3-4: 

Leather & Laces will include lots of glamour, glitz and excitement. Hosts include Jenny McCarthy, Donnie Wahlberg, Adriana Lima, Sara Sampaio and special guest Kyle Busch on Friday.

Athletes in Action Super Bowl Breakfast @ Marriott Marquis – Feb. 4: 

The Bart Starr Award, presented at the breakfast, honors Starr’s commitment to serving as a positive role model to his family, teammates and community. The winner is determined by NFL-player balloting at the end of the regular season, making it one of only two individual honors selected by the players themselves.

Rolling Stone Live @ Museum of Fine Arts – Feb. 4: 

Rolling Stone, who is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, will host Rolling Stone Live: Houston at the Museum of Fine Arts with special performances by Diplo and Nas.

Super Bowl In It to Win It Event @ Children’s Museum – Feb. 4: 

Celebrate Super Bowl LI with the family at The Children’s Museum of Houston. Special events and activities include a Mascot Challenge, Code Red Performance, Houston Energy meet-and-greet, paper-football champs and more.

NFL Honors @ The Wortham Center – Feb. 4 

The NFL’s end of season awards are announced, along with the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017 that will be inducted in July in Ohio.

The MAXIM Party @ Smart Financial Centre - Feb. 4

MAXIM Magazine is partering with production company Karma International to host The MAXIM Party 2017 at the Smart Financial Centre. The linkeup includes hip hop recording artist Travis Scott, DJ Khaled, strolling performers, aerialists and more. 

Retro Super Bowl Party @ Numbers – Feb. 4 

Throw it back to the '80s and early '90s at this fun Super Bowl dance party. 

Taste of the NFL @ the University of Houston – Feb. 4: 

Experience food from top chefs around the country, mingle with Hall of Fame NFL players and celebrities and enjoy a performance by The Band Perry.

Big Game Sports Camp @ Houston Sports Park – Feb. 4: 

The Big Game Youth Camp is an interactive sports camp and fan experience including simulated games, a meet and greet with NFL players, a football sports camp and more.

FANATICS Super Bowl Party @ Bayou Place - Feb. 4

FANATICS will kick off Super Bowl weekend with an exclusive invite-only party at The Ballroom at Bayou Place, which will include hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and top names in the sports and entertainment industry. 

Exotic Sneakers and Tuxedos @ Le Colonial - Feb. 4

Celebrities and professional athletes will head to Le Colonial in River Oaks District for this chic event. DJ Kid Capri will spin in the VP lounge and MC Lyte will perform. Proceeds will benefit the Callie Evette Aids Foundation. 

2nd Annual Hank Baskett Celebrity GAEMS Pro XP @ Four Seasons Hotel - Feb. 4 

Former NFL athlete Hank Baskett, a life-long gamer, is inviting the Houston community to join him for an exclusive high-energy interactive gaming event, which includes live music and entertainment. 

Game Day Tailgate Featuring Chalk Talk & Q&A @ Crowne Plaza - Feb. 5

Tailgate in this luxury, pre-game experience prior to Super Bowl LI, 12:30-4 p.m. Enjoy an open bar, catering, live entertainment, plus a chalk talk and audience Q&A with Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett.
