Mallory Kaplan, the daughter of Lee and Bernard Kaplan, Laura Stubbs, the daughter of Leigh and Bill Stubbs, Drewe Molin, the daughter of Laura and Brian Molin, and Audrey Briscoe, the daughter of Marla and Monty Briscoe, will be presented this month as a duchesses in the Knights of Momus, Galveston’s oldest Mardi Gras krewe.
Mallory is a senior at Texas Christian University majoring in strategic communications and creative writing and a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Laura is a junior at The University of Texas at Austin, where she is majoring in applied learning and development and is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Drewe is junior at Southern Methodist University, where she is majoring in business with a minor in French and is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Audrey is a junior at Texas Christian University where she is majoring in strategic communications and minoring in anthropology, with an emphasis in women and gender studies. She is a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.
Continuing the tradition of Mardi Gras court presentations (which date back to 1871), the Knights of Momus will present its royal court, King Frivolous CII and his queen at the Knights of Momus Coronation Ball and reception on Feb. 18 at The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston. Other 2017 Knights of Momus Mardi Gras duchesses include Annie Alexander, Lauren Balentine, Katie Banner, Hayley Barnhill, Carson Bell, Anna Buckley, Jordan Caravella, Savannah Conte, Kortney Debner, Mary Ganucheau, Erin Granberry, Abigail Henningsen, Anna Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Niki Kirby, Gabi LaRue, Loraine Maxwell, Rachel Mussa, Sarah Rothwell, Maddie Silva and Kierra Vogel.
