St. Mark’s Episcopal School baseball team

The St. Mark’s Episcopal School baseball team got to practice with Minor League pitcher Ian Gibaut, who graduated from St. Mark’s in 2008. Ian attended Lamar High School and then Tulane University. He was drafted in 2015 to join the Tampa Bay Rays organization, where he pitches in the bullpen for the Charlotte Stone Crabs. This is St. Mark’s second year to have a baseball team. Pictured are (back row,) parent volunteer Robert McGarr; (next row, from left) assistant coach Joshua Leuchtag, Jack Burton, Grant Stringer, Wyatt Leathers, Trey Fuselier, Ian Gibaut, head coach Robert Williams; (front row, from left) Jack Robbins, Anthony Graham, Jackson Parker, Nathan Vu and Michael Tyler McGinnis.

Editor’s note: The Buzz congratulates Buzz About Town columnist Annie Blaylock McQueen on the arrival of her beautiful baby Georgia. Annie took a short break to spend time with Georgia and twin toddlers Cash and Lila and will return to the Buzz About Town column in May.
