Spaulding sisters

Typically, families in the Sunset Terrace/Montclair neighborhood celebrate Fourth of July with a parade in which people dress up in festive attire and decorate cars, bikes and pets accordingly. This wasn’t a typical Fourth of July; however, neighbors still got in the spirit of the holiday. This year, neighbors still dressed up for the occasion and, using their neighborhood Facebook group, shared photos for everyone to see so they could come together while still social distancing. Based on photo submissions, winners were picked for various categories including best yard; best ride (decorated vehicles); best group costume and best bike. The Spaulding sisters (pictured, from left) Sadie, 4, Scarlett, 6 and Savannah, 8, won in the best group costume category. It was particularly special as the Spaulding family had just moved into the neighborhood the week before the Fourth.
