Teacher on TV

Sheri Jacobs, an English teacher at Tanglewood Middle School, is presenting a reading lesson for middle schoolers on TV. She is one of 25 teachers who were chosen by audition in their subjects. Sheri’s half-hour segment appears weekly on HISD-TV, Fox 26 and Univision; the lessons are aligned to Texas curriculum standards. In addition to teaching, Sheri is a professional voiceover artist and an actress. She’s authored a children’s book called Dream Write and an adult book called The Friendship Diet, using humor to challenge the way readers think about relationships with themselves and others.
