Aneesa Tientcheu and Taylor Schick (from left) represented the state of Texas as undefeated, No. 1-ranked track contenders at the 2021 AAU Junior Olympic games. Both girls are members of the FPR Speed running club, which sent 26 athletes to the national event. Aneesa, 8, a student at Valley Oaks Elementary, finished No. 1 in the nation in the 400-meter and 800-meter runs and No. 2 in the 200-meter run, which makes her the second fastest 8U runner in AAU national history. Taylor, 9, a student at Rummel Creek Elementary, finished ninth in the 800-meter run and eighth in the 1,500-meter run, solidifying her status as an All-American and one of the top runners in the nation.
