2016 Immigration Law Lecture Series

Harris County Attorney Vince Ryan and the Harris County Law Library will host a three-part lecture series titled Immigration Law and Internment Camps in Texas: Legal Perspectives on The Train to Crystal City by Jan Jarboe Russell as part of Gulf Coast Reads 2016. The book tells the story of immigrants and U.S. citizens of German and Japanese descent who were interred in America's only family internment camp at Crystal City, Texas during World War II, and will serve as a touchstone for diverse perspectives from a group of accomplished speakers, including the author herself on Oct. 18.
