2017 Galveston Polar Plunge

More than 300 people are ready to freeze for a reason at the 2017 Galveston Polar Plunge. In costume, participants will run into the freezing cold waters of the Gulf of Mexico at Stewart Beach for a cause – their local Special Olympics Texas athletes! The $60 entry fee plus any additional funds raised will go towards providing world-class sports training for more than 2,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the Gulf Coast area. Awards will be presented to the Top Fundraising Plunger, Top Fundraising Team and Best Costume. The event is put on by the Law Enforcement Torch Run, SOTX’s largest grass-roots fundraiser.
