Participate in conversations with authors from the comfort of your home. Join for live talks featuring award-winning authors and debut novelists.

Local writer and food advocate, Bettina Elias Siegel, will be part of this virtual series on Sept. 3 at 7:30 p.m. In Kid Food, nationally recognized writer and food advocate Bettina Elias Siegel explores one of the biggest challenges of modern parenting - trying to raise healthy eaters in a society intent on pushing children in the opposite direction. From food issues in our society, to picky eaters, to the unfortunate overlaps between junk food and school lunches, Kid Food offers a deeper understanding of the pervasiveness of processed food and all the factors in play for parents concerned about their children’s diets. Read more here.

The conversation will be led by Zibby Owens, the host of the award-winning podcast Moms Don’t Have Time to Read. Named “NYC’s Most Powerful Book-fluencer,” by Vulture, Zibby has recommended books in the Washington Post, Good Morning America and Real Simple.  She has also contributed to Parents, Marie Claire, Redbook, the New York Times online, and many other publications.

This event is in partnership with Congregation Emanu El and the JCCs of Boulder, Dallas, Miami, Nashville, Scottsdale, Seattle, Staten Island and Tampa.
