Children's Museum Kidpendence Day

The stars and stripes will be in full effect as we celebrate our country’s 240th birthday at the Children’s Museum of Houston Top S.E.C.R.E.T.:  S.O.S. (Summer of Spies).  Before rockets glare and fireworks are in the air, exercise your right to be a kid as long as possible with some good ole American fun.  Don’t forget to wear your red, white, and blue to pay tribute to the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Special events include: 

Boy Scout Color Guard and National Anthem: Kick off the festivity with the Scouts presenting the flag and the Pledge of Allegiance followed by the National Anthem at 1 p.m. in the Alcove. 

Uncle Sam and Statue of Liberty Character Appearances:  Meet the embodiments of American patriotism at 1 p.m. in the Alcove. 

Flag Waving Parade lead by High Steppers Brass Band: Follow this exciting brass band as they march through Kidtropolis, USA out to the Allen Family Courtyard. Parade leaves immediately after National Anthem from the Alcove.
