With a career spanning six decades, Willie Nelson is one of the most well-known artists in country music history and is credited with being one of the leading members of the 1970s Outlaw Country era. In 1985, he teamed up with fellow outlaw artists Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson and Johnny Cash to create the powerhouse country music group, The Highwaymen.
