As the first Burmese contestant and runner-up on MasterChef US, chef Suu has transformed her heritage-driven culinary journey into a platform honoring the recipes, farmers, and stories of her homeland. Based in Houston, she’s earned accolades including CultureMap’s 2025 Tastemaker Award for Best Pop-Up/Startup and recognition as a James Beard Award semi-finalist in the Emerging Chef category.
