Juneteenth in July at Emancipation Park
Emancipation Park Conservancy invites the community to celebrate Juneteenth in July — a free, family-friendly event honoring freedom, culture, and unity in the heart of Third Ward. The first part of the event will include a curated vendor market, featuring small local businesses and food vendors. The evening portion of the event, from 5 – 10 p.m., will feature a powerful musical tribute to the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, recognizing her tireless advocacy and her instrumental role in establishing Juneteenth as a national holiday.
Attendees can RSVP to the event by texting Juneteenth to 713-313-4354.
