As I mentioned in the January issue of The Buzz in my new column, my husband Tyler and I welcomed our twins, Cash and Lila, five months ago. I love visiting with other new moms, particularly those whose babies were born around the same time as the twins so we can compare notes.

So, this January, I welcomed another new “baby”- Buzz Baby, my new column about life with babies from the perspective of a first-time mother . . . me!

Buzz Baby is intended to be an honest and open column for moms (and dads) to share their thoughts, stories and tips. It made sense to start off on the topic of pregnancy. When you’re pregnant, if you have an earache, it’s most likely a symptom of pregnancy (just joking). But in all seriousness, pregnancy takes over your body. Yet through the aches, pains and discomfort, you still feel the most immense excitement and joy you’ll ever experience.

Every pregnancy is different. Some pregnancies are easy and some are not. Some moms, like Jenny Myers (who I interviewed in my column this month), say staying fit is a very important aspect of a comfortable pregnancy (if they are physically able to). Read more about what other Buzz moms had to say this month in the column.

Wherever you are on your life journey - a new mom, an expectant mom or even a grandmother - please follow my journey in Buzz Baby every month.

I’d love to hear from you! Email me at [email protected] if you’d like to share any thoughts or advice. Happy 2015!
