Buzz writer Jennifer Oakley and her family were in Washington, D.C. before Harvey hit, with plans to return home on Sunday. With the airports closed, they haven’t been able to return home yet but have had Houston constantly on their minds and hearts. So last night, they decided to support the Astros and their hometown by traveling to the Houston Astros vs. Texas Rangers game in Tampa.

During a layover, they asked baristas at the airport Starbucks for help; they took apart a cardboard banana box so they could make a sign. A Southwest employee lent them a Sharpie. The Oakley family sat on the floor of the airport to create a sign and carried it on the plane to Tampa. They went directly to Tropicana Field and bought tickets. The Astros lost this game, 12-2; they will play the Rangers again tonight.

The Tampa Bay Rays tweeted out this photo of William holding up the sign. All proceeds from this Astros-Rangers series will go to Harvey relief. See more photos from last night's game here
