Take me out to the ballpark! Bellaire Little League is currently hosting the 2018 International Texas East District 16 baseball tournament for 10U players (under 10), June 15-27. Games will be played at the Bellaire Tiras (Mulberry Street Tiras Family Complex) and Jessamine fields across from the Bellaire library.

The following Little League teams are participating: Bayland Park, Bear Creek, Bellaire, First Colony, Katy American, Katy National, Memorial Ashford, Missouri City, Neartown, Post Oak, Spring Branch AM, Westbury, West Oaks, West University American and National.

The Bellaire 10U tournament team was selected by the Bellaire Little League spring managers. This year’s team members are Jordan Beinart (Kolter Elementary), Nathan Kalmin (Condit Elementary), Preston Gorski (Horn Elementary), Liam Miller (Beth Yeshurun Day School), Hudson Zach (Schlenker School), Nick Gillette (St. Mark’s Episcopal) Marco Quintanilla (St. Vincent de Paul), Zac Selzer (Trafton Academy), Andrew Baca (Horn Elementary), Hayden Summers (St. Vincent de Paul) Luke Loving (Annunciation Orthodox School), Patrick Albright (Horn Elementary), Ryan Richter (Trafton Academy) and Devin Singh (Condit Elementary).

The team’s fearless leaders are manager Ryan Loving, Coach Jeff Gorski and Coach George Summers.

The Bellaire 10U team has been practicing together since summer began around June 1 in preparation for the tournament.

The Bellaire team won their first game against First Colony with a score of 10-0 on June 16, Westbury beat Missouri City and West University National won against Katy American. The game on Sun., June 17 was rained out (at least dads were home on Father’s Day!).

Bellaire Little League President Walter Lynch, the Bellaire Little League board and a winning team of volunteers are working hard to make sure the tournament is a grand slam for everyone.
