Amazing art cars

Cathey Nickell, author of Arthur Zarr’s Amazing Art Car, is gearing up for the 32nd annual Houston Art Car Parade on April 13 downtown. Nickell will present at Beth Yeshurun Day School’s Young Author’s Day following the parade weekend. In March, she read at Bellaire City Library, which also hosted Vena Ashley’s interactive art car, “Chalkstang.” Arthur Zarr’s Amazing Art Car was awarded first place by the Texas Association of Authors in the category of Children’s Picture Books.
