Frostwood Elementary School fifth graders Courtney Whittaker, Addison Beckcom, Victoria Sibaja and Anna Masucci (pictured, from left) wore their matching track-team T-shirts at the Spring Branch Independent School District track meet. Gathered at Stratford High School, with students from all around the district, the girls competed in three events: 100-meter, 200-meter and 4x100-meter relay. Frostwood’s health fitness teachers selected 38 students to attend, and the athletes spent hours preparing for running and field events. Although the district meet is noncompetitive, Frostwood students performed well in each of the events, and it was a great introduction to the sport of track and field.
