Founding freshmen of St. Francis Episcopal School weren’t discouraged by the rainy weather during the Houston Art Car Parade. The first-time entrants showed their pack pride with “The Wolfmobile” - an art car they designed as part of their interim curriculum - and rode away with third place in the School category. Their art car was part of their Road Scholars Project, which was launched by the founding freshman class of the newly-opened Upper School. The project combined multiple disciplines, such as exploring alternate fuel sources, mechanical engineering, an in-depth art history course plus a practical “autoshop” class for students who will soon be receiving their drivers’ licenses.
