Betcha

Betcha opened for Matt Maeson at White Oak upstairs recently.

June is the month for one of Houston’s best concert venues to shine - Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is a wonderful outdoor space perfect for soaking up the June sun and celebrating the outdoors. Before you say I’m naive, don’t worry… there are huge ceiling fans. There are plenty of shows indoor and outdoor this June, but consider spending some time embracing the heat!

Jun. 1: Jessie James Decker @ House of Blues
JJD is a country/pop singer with an R&B voice. Her family is the absolute cutest, and if you don’t follow them all on Instagram right now, you’re missing out. Song to check out: "Wanted."

Jun. 1: Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band @ Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
I’m going to go ahead and guess that if you’re a Jimmy Buffett fan, you’ve already got your ticket to Margaritaville. Enjoy!

Jun. 1: Joe Ely @ McGonigel’s Mucky Duck
Y’all know by now how big of a Joe Ely fan I am - I’ll always promote his shows! Joe is playing his fave Houston spot this June, so don’t miss his usual stop.

Jun. 2: Hannah Gadsby-Douglas @ Jones Hall
Gadsby-Douglas is a stand-up comedian who has been selling out shows all over the world with her show entitled “Nanette.” Her stand-up show was featured on Netflix and she has hosted three art documentaries. All around, a super interesting and cool person.

Jun. 8: Aly & AJ @ White Oak Music Hall Downstairs
Throwback! Please tell me you remember “Potential Breakup Song” like I do. Your favorite 2000’s sister duo is back on tour singing both new music and old crowd-pleasers.

Jun. 11: Kelsea Ballerini, Clay Walker, Billy Currington, and others @ Smart Financial Centre
Your country show of the month! Featuring not one, not two, but a handful of great country stars, all in one place!

Jun. 14: Hootie and the Blowfish @ Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
Hootie and the Blowfish are having a major comeback, selling out their tour all over the country. Who knows-- it might be the last time to see them, so don’t wait!

Jun. 16: Machine Gun Kelly @ Revention Music Center
Machine Gun Kelly aka Pete Davidson’s BFF, is a rapper. Check out one of my favorites of his - “Bad Things” featuring Camila Cabello.

Jun. 18: Hugh Jackman @ Toyota Center
Yes, Hugh Jackman will be performing songs from multiple Broadway shows and musicals, including Les Miserables, but you really just want to hear him sing songs from The Greatest Showman. And that’s okay. He is going to be singing all those songs too. Accompanied by a live orchestra!

Jun. 21: Twenty One Pilots @ Toyota Center
This show comes to Houston thanks to overwhelming demand for tickets - so many people wanted to see Twenty One Pilots that they expanded their tour for an entire second set!

Jun. 22: Trevor Noah @ Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
Trevor Noah is late night news/comedy’s golden child. Friends I know who have met him in person say he’s awesome and so great live. This is a bit of a different show for Cynthia Woods Mitchell, so it should be new and different, too.

Jun. 22: Parachute @ The Heights Theater
I really love Parachute - they have thoughtful songs that are easy to sing along to. I hope to be at this show myself! See you there?

Jun. 25: Jennifer Lopez @ Toyota Center
JLo is arguably at her PRIME. She is #fitnessgoals, she and A-Rod are the new “it” couple, and she’s going on tour just to boot. This time she’s touring with the World of Dance group.

Jun. 28: Train and the Goo Goo Dolls @ Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
Get ready to feel all the feels. Two emotional bands and 20+ years of music (Train just released their Greatest Hits album) combine to make what I think will be a very unique concert experience.

Jun. 28: Rob Thomas @ Smart Financial Centre
Even if you don’t know Rob Thomas, you know Rob Thomas. Do you know “Smooth” by Santana (p.s. He’s coming to Houston in July!)? Then you know Rob Thomas.

Jun. 29: Thomas Rhett @ Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
I saw Thomas Rhett at the Rodeo in 2018 and he was SO FUN. He has a great energy and always looks like he’s having the time of his life on stage. What more can you ask for?

On the Horizon:
Jun. 7: Santana @ Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
July 13: Diplo @ Stereo Live
