Pitching for the win

9U Bellaire District team player Collin Steinberg (pictured) pitches against West University in a summer baseball tournament. The Horn Elementary fourth grader loves to pitch, as well as play second base, shortstop and outfield, and also played in summer tournaments against First Colony and Katy teams. In addition to his Bellaire team, Collin also plays select ball for the Stix Hitmen, coached by Juan and Abe Garcia. During the Westbury Surf on Turf Summer Baseball Classic, he was the starting pitcher against the Fort Bend Diamondbacks. Collin pitched two complete innings, striking out four batters and allowing no runs. At the plate, he went two for three with two runs batted in, helping the team reach their 14-0 victory.
