Block Party at Rice Village

 

Rice Village will be partnering with Rice University Athletics to host a Block Party on Friday, Sept. 22, 6-9 p.m. at Morningside Plaza. A food truck park will be set up across the street from the Morningside Plaza from 6-8 p.m. The lineup includes famous Korean-Mexican Fusion truck, Oh My Gogi, and ice cream cookie sandwich truck, Smoosh. From 7-8:30PM, Clique Salon in Rice Village will be hosting a for donation braid bar in the Morningside Plaza. The free, family-friendly event will also include inflatables, tailgating games, live performances from the Rice Owls Dance and Cheer teams, and the Rice University Marching Owl Band and a special appearance by Sammy the Owl.

All food trucks will be donating 15 percent of their proceeds to United Way of Greater Houston in partnership with Rice Village and Trademark Property’s text donation campaign, Make a Difference.
