Chefs in the Field Tribute to the Tomato
Vintage plates piled high with unusual heirloom tomatoes—including Green Tiger, Cherokee Chocolate and Egyptian Currant, greet guests in the Chefs Kitchen Garden at Hope Farms as festivities begin with a tomato tasting of dozens of varietals (of the 40+ grown at the farm) and Queen of the Nightshade artisanal cocktails featuring Tito’s Handmade Vodka. As the sun sets, guests will migrate to The Gathering Barn aglow with candlelight and vintage silver at a table adorned with just-picked field flowers to enjoy a four-course meal celebrating the tasty tomato prepared by three celebrity chefs. The Chefs in the Field suppers feature produce harvested from Hope Farms prepared by members of the Foundation’s Chefs Brigade and Advisory Board.
