Deep in the Heart of Chinquapin

We have come to the one-year pandemic mile marker and what a ride it has been! It's time to break out of isolation and have some fun in a safe, outdoor environment listening to great music with old and new friends!

Chinquapin's spring event fundraiser, Deep in the Heart of Chinquapin, is the place to be! Come join us on Wednesday, May 5, from 6-10 p.m. in the outdoor beer garden of the world famous Armadillo Palace.

This Western throwdown is our biggest fundraiser of the year. It will be a casual evening, complete with great food, cold drinks and unique entertainment like Chicken Sh*t Bingo and live music by breakout Texas country music artist, Jesse Raub, Jr.

Since its founding in 1969, Chinquapin Prep has changed the life trajectories of hundreds of highly-motivated youth from under-resourced communities in the greater Houston area. Through a rigorous curriculum and an emphasis on giving back and earning what one receives, the school aims to produce college-ready adults who are responsible community members and effective communicators.

In a year when so much of life has been interrupted and unpredictable, Chinquapin's students have remained engaged in their education, supported by a faculty who have redesigned their classrooms to ensure our students' success.

The dollars raised from this event go directly toward Chinquapin's bottom line and help us to continue our mission.
