Delicious Alchemy Banquet, Presented by Brunello Cucinelli

Recipe for Success Foundation’s Delicious Alchemy Banquet, an annual fundraising event for only 70 guests comprised of a cocktail reception followed by an elegant, exquisite 10-course seated dinner at Anne and Albert Chao’s River Oaks Estate, will take place this year on May 6, 2019. The chefs who make the magic pair each course with gorgeous wines and spirits to delight the taste buds of attendees.

What started as a fantastically original dream of Recipe for Success founder Grace Cavnar in 2016, the annual bacchanal banquet has attracted a who’s who of Houston chefs that act as gracious knights to her vision. The most spectacular dinner party of the season raises 20 percent of Recipe for Success Foundation Group’s annual budget to combat childhood obesity with programs that teach, inspire and empower healthy eating. This year’s event will weave an ancient, mystical tale of Venetian explorers and one of merchants piecing together a culinary trail of spices and recipes that clung to recipes from China to Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. This year’s menu will be redolent in its offerings, wines, spirits and setting.

This year’s chef lineup includes Brandi Key, Canopy and Alice Blue; Drake Leonard, Eunice; Peter Garcia, El Meson; Ryan Pera, Agricole Hospitality; Giancarlo Ferrara, Amalfi Ristorante Italiano & Bar; Hassan Obaye, Le Colonial; Hoi Fung, Fung’s Kitchen; Kiran Virma, Kiran’s, Hani Lae, Poitín; Greg Martin, Bistro Menil.

Presented by Brunello Cucinelli, Cavnar will harness the lyrical and literal iteration of his love of beauty and the land. Her symbiotic partnership with this legendary Italian design house is as perfect as their weaving natural materials into sumptuous clothing. Under Cucinelli’s measured hand, they are known as much for their exquisite products as their loving relation to the land.
