Fourth Annual Hearts of Gold Night

The Houston Hearts of Gold Chapter of The Cure Starts Now presents its fourth annual Hearts of Gold Night! Since this would be the year that Nicole Lee, who died at age 7 from Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), would be celebrating her prom, this year's event will be prom-themed. There will be dinner, wine and beer open bar, DJ, dancing and an extensive silent auction. 

The keyntoe speaker is Brooke Desserich, who co-founded The Cure Starts Now with her husband, Keith. Today The Cure Starts Now has over 40 chapters and has funded $13.8 million in pediatric brain cancer research towards the Homerun Cure. She co-authored the bestselling book, Notes Left Behind detailing the journey with her daughter, Elena, through her battle with DIPG. She is also an entrepreneur and CFO of three companies with experience in financial operations for over 20 years. 

All proceeds from the event benefit The Cure Starts Now and will support novel pediatric brain cancer research.
