Indigo Night: Couture Soirée

Martinez-Arpin Foundation (MA Foundation) will host the 3rd Annual School Supply Drive themed “Indigo Night: Couture Soirée” on Saturday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. at an 18,000-square-foot, Bayou-side French Country mansion. 

The “Indigo Night: Couture Soirée” will celebrate the MA Foundation’s inaugural scholarship program, which focuses on students pursuing art degrees in need of tuition assistance. The event will also serve as a supply drive to help students return to the new school year with much needed materials and tools. Students interested in applying for a scholarship will submit a short-topic video, which conveys their artistic passion. This video will be used by the judges to determine the winning scholarship recipients. The proceeds raised during the Soiree will fund the first round of scholarships.

The “Indigo Night: Couture Soirée” evening will feature a fashion presentation of international designer Cesar Galindo’s FALL 2016 collection. A native Houstonian, Galindo has designed for luxury brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein and L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani and A-list celebrities all over the world. Galindo returns to Houston to support local art youth giving guests an opportunity to mingle while experiencing his fashion runway show throughout the home’s interior.

An Auction Gallery and Live Auction will offer guests a beautiful high-end curation of must have items for the highest bidders. Guests are encouraged to dress in cocktail attire.

This year’s event is themed to focus on fashion and design art, but in subsequent years the MA Foundation plans to feature other areas of artistic studies including visual, performing, culinary and more. Valet, photo opportunities, cocktails and hor d'oeuvres from local Houston restaurants will tantalize the tastebuds throughout the evening.
