JDRF Houston Gulf Coast Chapter Invites You to "Mahj" For a Cause

Join the JDRFHouston Gulf Coast Chapter for a day of fun and games as they test their skills in a Mah Jongg tournament and play to raise funds for type 1 diabetes. New and experienced gamers are welcome to attend the tournament on Sept. 30 that will include door prizes and auction items, such as artwork from artist Jim Rabby, a bed and breakfast style staycation at The Houstonian and a dinner for ten at Carrabba’s on Voss and Woodway. A delicious lunch catered by the venue will also be served.

Mah Jongg is a game of Chinese descent using tiles in order to create “sets,”and was not fully introduced into American culture until the 1920s.
