The Jung Center's Fall Benefit 2021

The Jung Center's Fall Benefit 2021

The Jung Center's Fall Benefit features You've Got Mail's Delia Ephron, who will talk about life, change, and the relationships that matter. The event takes place Tuesday, October 5, 2021, 6 p.m.

Virtual, with limited in-person seating available at The Jung Center. Masks required. The video will be available for 24 hours following the event.

Bestselling author and screenwriter Delia Ephron began her writing career when she published an essay in The New York Times Magazine entitled “How to Eat Like a Child.” The piece became a bestselling book, television special, and musical revue. Delia has since published 14 books and is known for her hilarious and poignant spin on life’s absurdities and obsessions, relationships and hardships.

With her sister Nora Ephron, Delia produced and co-wrote You’ve Got Mail and Hanging Up. She was also a co-screenwriter on The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and an associate producer on Sleepless in Seattle. Delia and Nora adapted Love, Loss and What I Wore into an off-Broadway play about relationships, clothes, and memory.

In her collection of essays Sister Mother Husband Dog (etc.), Delia writes honestly and humorously about the death of her sister, her favorite bakeries, her journey to becoming a writer, her parent’s alcoholism, and her unabashed love for her dog. Her latest novel, Siracusa, was a New York Times bestseller, a Staff Pick by Publishers Weekly, one of the best books of 2016 by People, and one of Vulture’s 100 greatest beach books ever.

Delia is married to the Jungian analyst, psychiatrist, and author Dr. Peter Rutter.
