Musical Evening “Colors of Russia: Music of 20th Century”
Russian Cultural Center Our Texas presents the evening of music by Russian composers of 20th Century in conjunction with an illustration exhibition by Igor Karash “In Red and Black”.
In the program:
Prokofiev - Cello Sonata, op. 119,
Myaskovsky - Cello Sonata Nr. 2 in A minor, opus 81
Shostakovich - Romance and Waltz
Performers: Hasmik Vardanyan, cello, Alisiya Boiko, piano
Ms. Hasmik Vardanyan is a Performance Certificate Graduate Cellist at the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music; she is a student of professor Vagram Saradjian. Hasmik already performed at RCC: earlier this year she participated in the evening with Hans Graf, dedicated to Shostakovich.
Ms. Alisiya Boiko also studies at the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music; she is a student of professor Tali Morgulis. Alisiya participated in the recent concert "Satire in Music", playing the music by Prokofiev.
