Operatic bass-baritone and conductor Mikhail Smigelski enjoys a career of vast and various genres, including opera, oratorio, early music, musical theatre, and contemporary music. As a soloist, Mr. Smigelski has performed on the world most prestigious stages including Carnegie Hall, Saint Petersburg’s and Moscow’s Philharmonias, Berliner Philharmonie, Kölner Philharmonie, and has collaborated with established European and American opera.
Maria Lyapkova enjoys a diverse career as a soloist and chamber musician, performing on modern piano, harpsichord, and piano. She has appeared at music festivals around the world, including the Aspen Music Festival and School, the National Music Festival, and the Texas String Camp & Festival in the United States, “Spotlight on Young Musicians” in France, the “Music of Norway” Concert Series in Norway/Russia, and “Pentatonic” in Russia.
