The Parent Gap Book Signing

 

Just in time for the new school year, author and respected parenting coach, Randi Rubenstein, will be conducting a Texas book tour with signings for her new book, The Parent Gap! For each book sold, $5 will be going to a Houston woman, Ashley Mills, and her son who lost everything in Harvey.

Randi specializes in teaching parents how to stay calm, cool, and connected during heated moments with their kiddos, as opposed to resorting to dominant methods like yelling. This process is called “closing the parenting gap” because you’re closing the gap between what you want to do as a parent and what you actually do when triggered in a high stress situation. Her nurturing, no-nonsense programs focus on shifting the dominant parenting methods of the past involving fear, threats and yelling, to a nurturing and assertive approach.

Rubenstein will conduct a Texas book tour with signings in Houston and Austin. The Houston signing will be held at Barnes & Noble River Oaks on Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. Feel free to bring kids, as milk and cookies will be served.
