Growing up, writing was always a hobby of mine. It wasn’t until later in my life that I realized I could pursue it outside of school. Since then, I have been immersed in the world of journalism, getting involved in all aspects the subject covers. I currently am a junior at Stratford High School, where I am associate editor for the school paper, the Oracle. Outside of newspaper, I am also involved with Stratford Playhouse and Student Council. One of my favorite things about my school is how diverse it is. You can always find something different and new around almost every corner you turn. Our school’s community is so loving and generous, it really makes the whole high school experience less intimidating. Not only my community, but Houston as a whole, continuously shows its love in a dozen ways. When I’m not at school, I can typically be found at Minute Maid Stadium cheering on the Astros, or in front of my computer, writing for hours straight. I am so excited to see what type of opportunities this experience brings me and I hope that I am able to be beneficial to the community!
