For the first time ever, the Art of Conversation was a sold-out event before the invitations were mailed. Artist David Adickes was presented with a certificate in his honor by Mayor Annise Parker. Beth Wolff and Bill Stubbs chaired the wildly successful event that featured 32 conversationalists, including Lynn Wyatt, sportscaster Bob Allen, Great Day Houston’s Deborah Duncan, Channel 8’s Lisa Tripani Shumate and Ernie Manouse, architect Cameron Armstrong, chef David Cordúa, Milo Hamilton, the former voice of the Astros, sportswriter John McClain, Gracie Cavnar of Recipe for Success, rodeo lifetime VP Carolyn Faulk, CEO of Uptown Houston John Breeding and pawn-shop diva Pamela Wright. Next year save the date, Nov. 10.
