Private School Directory

Private School Directory image

Finding the right fit for your child’s education is vital to academic and personal growth. Buzz-area residents are fortunate in that Houston is home to many of the nation’s top private schools, most of which are located right here in our neighborhoods. The Buzz Magazines Private School Directory, for Pre-K through post-high school, has been a valuable resource to our residents and readers, both in print and online, for many years. This list is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all private schools. Instead, our goal is to provide readers with a snapshot of each school, as a starting point in the research process. Additionally, see our Schools section for more articles related to schools, and check out our popular School Buzz blog for stories about local high schools written from students’ perspectives.

Advance Immersive Transition Program is a catalyst for young adults with learning, social, and critical thinking differences as they transition from adolescence to lives of significance and personal accountability. We endeavor to create a program that allows young adults to engage in employment that fulfills and expands their lives, rather than merely accommodating their differences. We provide immersive, real-life experiences where Advance students practice skills that lead to personal, social, and economic independence.

At Presbyterian School, taking risks is in our DNA. It’s at the heart of the learning experience because it’s risky to try something you’ve never done; it’s risky to ask for help; and it’s risky to fail and then to learn from that failure over and over again. At PS, missing the mark doesn’t end the learning process; it pushes it forward. As Nelson Mandela shared, “I never lose. I either win or learn.”
