The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Houston Gulf Coast Chapter Annual Promise Ball, Imagine the Night, raised $1.3 million for Type 1 diabetes research and education. Rachael and Jason Volz (pictured) co-chaired the event, and honorees were long-time JDRF advocates Meredith Cocke, Judy Haley, Melinda Rose and Carol Rowley. Corporate honoree was Amegy Bank of Texas. The gala took place at the Hilton Americas-Houston and attracted more than 850 supporters and friends, including U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz and U.S. Rep. John Culberson. Also joining in the evening were Christie and Billy McCartney, Isabel and Danny David, Valerie and Tracy Dieterich, Audrey and Brandon Cochran, and Lindley and Jason Arnoldy.
