CancerForward: The Foundation For Cancer Survivors will present The New Summer Standard 2014 7-10:30 p.m. May 14 at The Houston Country Club. The event will be chaired by Gina and Dr. Devinder Bhatia and Millette and Haag Sherman. Donna and Robert Bruni and Ellie and Michael Francisco will serve as honorary chairs. The night will honor former Texas state Rep. and current Houston City Council Member Ellen Cohen, who has raised significant funds for cancer research in Texas. This year marks the 44th year of Cohen’s survivorship of breast cancer. Former honorees include David Solomon, Nancy Moncrief and Denise Monteleone, all cancer survivors.
