Guests posed by a life-sized cutout of Johnny Carrabba and art cow “Cow’rrabba” when Johnny was honored by the Upper Kirby Management District with its first-ever Game Changer Award. About 120 fans came to a reception to toast the restaurateur and businessman, who has been a catalyst in the development of the Upper Kirby District. Big wigs at the UKMD, Rob Axelson, Buddy Bailey, Lonnie Schiller and Travis Younkin, entertained the crowd. In turn, Johnny divulged more about his Sicilian family roots and why he believes in giving back to the community.
