Hip grandparents George and DiAnn Sutherland wanted to make sure their 13-year-old granddaughter Anna Giesler would enjoy a trip with them. They took a Tauck Bridges family-travel tour, which included 20 other children with 20 adults, to Rome, Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. More importantly, there was a jet boat to Capri and a sandal maker to give them custom-fit footwear. They were disappointed to find dry fountains (Trevi and the boat-shaped fountain, Fontana della Barcaccia) under repair. However, a boat cruise down the Amalfi Coast to Positano and a private tour of the Sistine Chapel were religious experiences.
